Description
This is Ike. Ike is one of three hand raised, one year old pet roosters we are looking to adopt out. These roosters will not go to homes where they will be used for fighting or eaten for dinner. We prefer they not be used for breeding more chickens who will be eaten for dinner, either. An ideal home for our roosters would be a family who is raising hens for eggs. Did you know adding one rooster to your hens will significantly increase their laying? Did you know that roosters will not start crowing until you let them out of their hen house rather than at dawn like most people think (ours don't start until around 7am). We have one Aracana (pictured) named Ike, one beautiful honey colored male (we haven't been able to identify his breed) named BC (for Baby Chicken), and one Rhode Island Red named Macy.
