Description
This is Donni (short for Adonis.) Donni is the sweetest little guy ever. He loves other dogs, and he loves to cuddle up with his person. Donni has only one quirk that we can tell. He was born with a congenital problem that caused some nerve paralysis in his back-end. We could tell something was up because his tail is shorter than normal, and curled to one side. He also has a bit of an odd gait, although he can run full speed ahead without any problems! The worst of this issue is that Donni has intermittent urinary or fecal incontinence. He can't help it, he just doesn't know it's happening. We think Donni is a terrific dog, but the person who adopts him will have to commit to having a dog who wears a diaper. There are some super fashionable varieties out there (denim, bling, etc.) but the understanding person or couple who falls for Donni and commits to him will have to be willing to deal with that issue, and regularly change his diaper (btw, Donni is otherwise housetrained he just leaks sometimes.) So, if you have a special place in your heart for dogs with special needs, this is your guy. Super special, tiny need. Incidentally, our vet confirms that Donni's problem won't get worse with time... Adoption Process: We are not first come first served. Indigo Rescue focuses on finding good matches between dogs and families to ensure life long adoptions. We deliver all dogs to their new homes. All of our dogs are in foster homes. We have adoption events at the Beaverton PetSmart every other Saturday where you can meet many of our dogs at once. Click Here for our Calendar of Events. What changes in your life are likely in the next 10+ years (or life span of the dog) and how will the changes affect the dog?
