Frosty came into rescue after way too long a stay at a shelter. He developed a lot of kennel related behavioural problems while at the shelter and he will be a work in progress for a patient smart adopter for a while. Frosty is between 1 and 2 years of age (probably closer to one) and weighs 15 pounds. His tail is not docked. He was all skin & bone and needed to put some weight on. He is extremely loving & affectionate with us, but he does have some excitement misdirection issues around other dogs. He gets along very well with them unless the excitement level amps and then he gets pretty pissy. Since he is fostered with a large group of active dogs, we can see this behaviour already improving rapidly and Frosty is starting to actively play with the group. Frosty is not house trained and he weaves and fusses when crated. He wants to be right with his person 24/7. Again, this behaviour is improving over time. Frosty will also need leash work and basic obedience training. He went for his first trip to the beach today and he loves to swim ! Frosty also likes to play ball with his person. Update: Frosty is turning into such a sweetheart. All of the above still applies, but what a lover boy he is with us! Frosty is located in Clatskanie, Oregon. His adoption fee is $150. Rating: firm patient person needed with experience in dealing with excitement misdirection in dogs.
