Australian Shepherd - Large - Adult - Female - Dog - Birdie

FOSTER: Birdie is a sweet and loving dog who is searching for a quiet home with very patient and experienced owners to help her adjust to her new life. She arrived at OHS with a group of 125 dogs rescued from a neglect case in Burns Oregon. Birdie is nervous around people and does best when you sit patiently and wait for her to come to you. She has lived with other dogs in her foster home and would appreciate another calm canine companion to help build her confidence and teach her the ropes. The root of Birdie's shyness is her lack of socialization. It is going to take time to earn her trust and love but Birdie's foster family has made great progress. Birdie loves to go on daily walks although she sometimes is still frightened by new things. Her foster family just loves Birdie's spirit and although sometimes progress has been slow it is steady (and helped along with her favorite snack Cheese!).
