She is a smart and very drivey little girl who would love flyball, lure coursing or even someone who jogs. Madilyn is everything an American Pit Bull Terrier should be so please no same-sex dogs in the home.... she would prefer males. She loves children and lights up the room when she enters it. Madilyn is a people kisser, extraordinaire! Almost every photo we have of her meeting a new person is of her giving them love and kisses.Madilyn was brought into a local shelter with an infection in her shoulder and ear. Her ear infection was so bad they had to place drain tubes in. She has since recovered completely from that injury. She weighs only 30 pounds - that is well below the knee. This is not unusual with her breed, although it is less common in our area. She is a perfect size - she will fit just about anywhere, and will gladly go with you anyplace!Update June 2009 - Madilyn has just taken one more step toward proving to the world that the American Pit Bull Terrier is a WONDERFUL and tempermentally sound breed!! She has officially earned her TT. What is a 'TT', you ask? It is a nationally recoginzed temperament test, conducted by the American Temperament Test Society. Their motto is 'a sound mind in a sound body'. Did you know that the American Pit Bull Terrier scores on the high end when compared to all breeds? Currently the APBT has an 85.3% pass rate.
