SUMMARY
PRN position doing routine blood draws on healthy adults in an outpatient setting. Tests include HIV, Cardiac panel, DNA, and others.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITES

Minimum of one year recent full time paid experience in a high volume clinic

• Current in knowledge about order of draw, use of proper specimen collection tubes, and centrifuge
• Attention to detail
• Exceptional phlebotomy skills and exerience with a high volume of blood draws per day.
• Compliance with OSHA Blood borne Pathogens Standard and HIPAA
• Have the ability to distinguish possible exceptions and seek assistance from supervisory staff as needed
• Accurately document services rendered.
• Ability to work independently when needed and to work effectively with others
• Ability to withstand continuous public contact in a goal orientated environment.


EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
National phlebotomy certification

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Work will be performed in a temperature-controlled environment. The noise level is usually moderate. In the course of performing clinical job duties, may have occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, i.e. skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.
