SUMMARY
Administer different types immunizations to adults following MD Standing orders.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITES
• Nurses should be current in knowledge, contraindications, administration, and possible reactions of vaccines being administered
• Ability to administer immunizations in accordance with written protocols
• The ability to navigate in an ever-changing environment.
• Perform assigned duties in a goal-oriented environment in an effort to meet customer service standards expectations and objectives.
• Skilled in written and verbal communication
• Skilled in counseling and teaching to encourage compliance with instructions
• Compliance with OSHA Blood borne Pathogens Standard and HIPAA
• Pass a skills test
• Ability to establish and maintain accurate records and files
• Have the ability to distinguish possible exceptions and seek assistance from supervisory staff as needed
• Accurately document services rendered.
• Ability to work independently when needed and to work effectively with others
• Ability to withstand continuous public contact in a goal orientated environment.
EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum one year recent paid experience
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• An unrestricted LPN license in the state of Washington
• Valid CRP certification
• Malpractice Insurance (nso.org and many others offer this online)
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Generally, work will be performed in a temperature-controlled environment. The noise level is usually moderate. In the course of performing clinical job duties, may have occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, i.e. skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.
